Very good place for lunch. Service provided by friendly people with a desire to please and show what's good about the place, which is honestly rare in Rio de Janeiro. Great food, came very hot, suitable for enjoyment. It is a mandatory stop when strolling around the Parish. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

A little oriental corner in the middle of the parish (Jacarepaguá), that's what you'll find at ORIENTO FOOD & MARKET. I visited the store and was welcomed by the manager Vitório, a very polite and attentive person who, during service, told me about the store and invited me to visit the kitchen, at which point I witnessed the batch of delicious homemade cookies that are sold to customers as well as sweets, cakes and savory snacks, all made on site. A space designed with you in mind who enjoys ancient oriental culture and all its fascinating stories, as well as decorative objects and various products for you to purify your palate. It has a deck with very pleasant tables and chairs in front and a really cool curiosity, with a container for pets to drink water always available, whether from a customer or just passing by. With a proposal to attract like-minded people, the space has a wide variety of savory, sweet, snacks and sandwiches so that regardless of the weather you are enjoying, trying to get to know the culture or having fun with friends or family, you can be very well served. The house is also very suitable for those who want to work calmly with their notebook or cell phone or even for casual business duet or trio meetings. With the arrival of the owner Miguel, the trip became even more interesting because upon learning that the house project has been in his head for many years, I discovered that the place still has some really cool ideas to be implemented and already has material available to start work. It has channels available for you to watch programs, newspapers and series as well as books and dictionaries for Chinese, Korean and other choices for your audience. One detail that I found sensational is that it also aims to attract tribes of young people who enjoy Eastern culture in all its plenitude, be it modern television series, traditional anime and the like. The idea is that the place becomes a delicious alternative spot in the Jacarepaguá region for those who are descendants, for those who enjoy it and for those who want to get to know it. Here you will find several food product options to take on a gastronomic trip, such as: Soju – a very famous Korean drink, present in Koreans' daily lives and in practically all films and TV series. You will find some options to enjoy in peace. Pepero – Stick-shaped biscuit covered in chocolate and cookies and also covered in almonds and milk chocolate. Ramen – Instant noodles in pots, just pour hot water and enjoy!!! Mandu – traditional roll stuffed with pork that can be prepared in different ways, fried or grilled, steamed or boiled, for each type it receives a prefix in the Korean language, gun-mandu, jjing-mandu or mul-mandu. The location is easily accessible, the street allows parking, has wheelchair access, clean bathrooms and a kitchen open to visitors. It's really worth visiting, there's more to see and know but now it's up to you, lol!
