O ambiente é agradável e a comida é boa apesar de salgada. O garçom totalmente sobrecarregado, comida demora muito a ficar pronta. A última vez que fui foi numa sexta feira, dia de rabada e feijoada, cheguei 12h e já não tinha mais rabada, então solicitei feijoada que demorou uns 40 minutos pra chegar e estava bem salgada. The visit to the "Da Pedra" bar in Rio de Janeiro was unfortunately marked by an incident that significantly damaged my experience at the establishment. It is with regret that I report what happened. Upon arriving at the bar's entrance, I came across a security guard known as "Pardo", whose behavior from the beginning left a lot to be desired. His lack of patience and notable inability to deal with customers politely and respectfully were manifest. Initially, he denied me entry, claiming that the bar was crowded. As a result, I questioned whether the same rule applied to my friend's guests, who were celebrating their birthday there. My question had the sole intention of clarifying the reason for the denial, as I had understood that a reservation had been made for a specific number of guests in the sector intended for the celebration. I wasn’t looking for privileged treatment, just a clearer understanding. The fact is that communicating with the security guard proved extremely difficult from the beginning, as if we spoke different languages. His impatience arose immediately, responding sharply to all my attempts to communicate with him. I just had one doubt, which I wanted to resolve in order to avoid misunderstandings. A minimally polite response would have been sufficient. However, the security guard persistently adopted an unpleasant stance, stating that I would be the last to enter, regardless of who I was, and that I should wait. Once again, I emphasize that I was not seeking privileges, just clarification. When he questioned the security guard about his rude and disrespectful behavior, the situation quickly deteriorated. The security guard, far from calming down, opted for an aggressive approach, even bringing his hand closer to my face, in a threatening manner, as if he were going to hit me, and raising his voice, hurling all sorts of insults at me. Swearing, such as the pejorative term "zé ruela", were directed at me, creating an environment of immediate tension and insecurity. The climax of the situation occurred when the bar manager, identified as Lucas, arrived to supposedly intervene. Surprisingly, the manager showed no interest in hearing my version of events, opting to readily accept what had been said by the security guard. The refusal to consider my report and the decision to deny me entry was extremely disappointing and unfair. It is unacceptable that a commercial establishment, whose success depends on the satisfaction and well-being of those who visit the place, allows its employees to adopt such aggressive and disrespectful behavior towards its customers. Furthermore, it is alarming that the establishment's management immediately supported the security guard's behavior without even listening to the customer or being willing to consider the implications that that dynamic could have for the physical safety of the people present there, or even for the bar's reputation. To sum it all up, my experience at the "Da Pedra" bar was deeply disappointing and upsetting. The security guard's behavior and management's reaction highlighted a lack of professionalism and commitment to the well-being of customers that cannot be ignored. It is essential that establishments like this reevaluate their hiring practices, staff training and approach to customer service to avoid future such unpleasant incidents.
