If you're looking for a colonial cafe with great service, good food and honest prices, this is the right place. 45 minutes from São Paulo, it is a great weekend trip. You can see the owner's concern in every detail. Nothing sumptuous, but clearly made with care and affection. Being in a natural environment helps with the experience. Large restaurant, with comfortable tables and chairs. A plentiful sweet and savory table, with lots of variety. Various pies, a complete cold cuts and antipasti menu, well-assembled cold sandwiches, some canapes options, as well as American coffee items, such as eggs, bacon and sausage available. The main thing in a colonial café is the quality of the bread they offer, and for me they really pleased, both the quality of the cheese bread and the French bread, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very good sweets too, with lots of options. They also offer a chapiro service, which makes some types of hot sandwiches. Party-sized snacks are also available, such as coxinhas, cheese balls and fried kibbeh. They offer a wide choice of drinks, from breakfast items such as milk, yogurt, tea, coffee, chocolate drinks, two options of iced juice and soft drinks. The positive point is that the soda is included in the price, and not sold as a separate item. I'm a critical person, and quite boring in my evaluations. I worried about eating a little bit of EVERYTHING. What impressed me most about this place is that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of what I ate was bad or had any defects. Nothing is burnt, nothing is dried out, nothing looks old or dated. Was there any food that I found exceptional, or the best in life? No. But everything I ate was very good, coherent and honest, and that's much better than getting one thing wonderfully right and another wrong. And, believe me, getting it right like this is rare, very rare in the food market. Does it have defects? Of course there is. Nobody is perfect. NOBODY! In the savory section, I would like a sausage option. In the sweets section, there was no fresh dulce de leche. But nothing that spoiled my experience. The bathroom is a little tight. I missed an ice machine. The coolest thing is that, in an informal conversation with the owner of the place, he was very interested in my praises and criticisms, having noted everything that I thought could improve the establishment, and promised to make corrections. This doesn't exist anywhere! I know that the market is difficult, I know that it is very difficult to maintain the price with this crazy inflation that is plaguing us, and what I see most out there is people maintaining the price of the service provided, afraid of losing customers, but starting to offer products of lower quality. It's a recipe for failure. A shot in the foot. NEVER DO THIS! I'd rather pay more and eat well than pay the same price as before by eating poorly. Several colonial cafes that I knew that were good fell into this trap, and today I can't even hear the name mentioned, they were so bad. The people at this restaurant are on the right track. Long live Café Colonial Di Fiore. I'll be back more often. Congratulations! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
