Constrangedor. Local com homens 50+ acompanhados de garotas de programa. Quando pedi discrição, uma das garotas, em tom de confronto, veio até minha mesa dizer que errado estava eu, que deveria ter deixado meus filhos e sobrinhas, domingo às 20:30, em casa com a babá.

It dates back centuries and is an expression of local tradition, where cooking meat with wine was a common practice to tenderize and add flavor to the meat. Rare to find, even for the sin of cooking anything in a Barolo, I had a great version at Sabella Antica Rosticceria, a cozy Italian cantina in Jardins. There, the atmosphere is welcoming, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious at affordable prices. The brassato itself costs R$79.00 and is prepared with beef chuck in tomato sauce accompanied by fettuccine. The meat was tender and had a deep flavor, the result of long cooking. The tomato sauce and fettucine brought comfort on a cold day. Next to it, the fusilli molisani gratinati with sausage, mushrooms and gorgonzola (R$64.00) comes with fusilli gratin with sausage, mushrooms and gorgonzola sauce. It has a creamy texture and an intense flavor, with the saline of the sausage, the umami of the mushrooms and the pungency of the gorgonzola, which speak eloquently on the palate. Before starting, the pappa al pomodoro with pallotte cacio e pepe (R$48.00) is a Tuscan classic and starts the meal well. It's a rustic tomato soup, with homemade bread and pecorino cheese meatballs. The soup is thick, has pieces of sausage and breaded pecorino. Great to eat with the toast served. Then, for dessert, the pie alla caprese and creme al caffè (R$39.00) is a delicious dark chocolate and almond pie with coffee cream. It's soft, chocolatey and has an intense and tasty coffee syrup. The pastiera di grano (R$38.00) is, by far, the best I ate in São Paulo. It is a Neapolitan pie with wheat grain, ricotta and candied fruits. The grainy texture of the wheat combined with the smoothness of the ricotta and the sweetness of the candied fruits created a perfectly balanced and memorable dessert. Worth the trip!
